The National Park is located on three borders involving the states of Kelantan, Pahang and Terengganu. Kuala Koh National Park is located on the border of Kelantan and is within the Gua Musang Colony.

It is located within the Bukit Hantu Forest Reserve and Lebir Forest Reserve. In terms of connectivity, Kuala Koh National Park is located 96 kilometers from Gua Musang town and is easily accessible by visitors and tourists via road, especially the Gua Musang-Kuala Krai Road. The natural assets owned by Kuala Koh National Park, especially the diversity of flora and fauna and the tropical rainforest ecosystem, are very suitable for ecotourism activities as well as for research and development (R & D) purposes.

Among the activities organised by the Department of Wildlife Protection and National Parks are bird watching (over 300 species), fishing in the river network, photography sessions, jungle trekking through interpretive trails, kayaking/rafting, climbing canopy bridges and camping. For the comfort of visitors and tourists, among the facilities provided at Kuala Koh National Park are chalets and hostels, restaurants, meeting rooms, interpretive rooms, campsites, boat services, waqf/lodges for relaxation, surau and parking.

Each visitor is required to obtain an entry permit at a cost of RM1.00 per person. The price of a fishing license is RM10.00 per rod and a camera license is RM5.00 per camera unit.
