In Malaysia, Chinese New Year (February), or the Spring Festival, is a festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar and is the largest Chinese Festival. During the event, you’ll see lion and dragon dances around.

The festival is usually celebrated over a period of 23 days ending with the lantern festival. The tradition of Chinese New Year is connected to a mythical beast that used to attack the dwellers of an ancient Chinese village.

The reunion dinners feature symbolic dishes like Yee Sang, braised abalone with mushrooms, pineapple tarts, frozen chicken products, and many more, showcasing the unique Chinese New Year celebration in Malaysia.
